After 2015 Police are no longer responsible for any stray dogs unless they are an immediate danger to the public. It falls upon local council Dog Wardens and rescue charities and organisations to pick up the slack...

Rehabilitate Before You Face Re-homing

Private Surrenders

At Broken Souls Rescue we take in dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, mice, rats, gerbils,  and other animals in need of emergency help, rehabilitation and rehoming. Be it a pet you can no longer keep, a stray you have found or a case you know needs help, please give us a call on free phone 0800 689 4369

We take in dogs of any breed and situation provided we have the vacancy in our foster homes. Any Dog Aggressive dogs will require going into Private Boarding Kennels which is exceedingly costly. At times we will refer these dogs to another no-kill rescue who have kennel space.

Once a pet is handed over to us we sign a contract with the owners. We then change any micro-chipping details over to have ourselves as the assigned owners. As it is very costly for basic veterinary treatments, any private cases are now required to pay a £50 surrender fee.

We have a thorough home checking system and ensure all our pets only go to the best, experienced and most loving of homes. We are happy to answer any questions to reassure owners. All our foster homes are in daily contact and are insured under ourselves with PetPlan Sanctuary.

What ever your situation I'm sure we can help so please get in touch.

Got a PET in need of our help?

strays

The majority of our cases now come direct from county pounds, veterinary surgeries and other rescue referrals. This is due to these animals facing euthanasia against the clock.

However we do run a Rehome From Scheme and below is information for private emergency surrenders.

We rescue over 150 animals each year from across the West Midlands and United Kingdom.

Ireland and Scotland

Sometimes, it can be too daunting an idea to take your dog to a training class or have that top trainer come round to your house and work one to one. It can also be extremely costly. We are offering extremely cheap one to one rehabilitation sessions for people friendly dogs with naughty behaviours, over excited dogs and other problems.

We feel at Broken Souls Rescue that at least half the dogs and most of the Staffy's we deal with could have remained at home if they had been properly trained or rehabilitated.

We currently only offer this service in the West Midlands at the cheap rate of just: £20 per session..

Other areas will incur a travel cost.

Please call us with your doggy behaviour problems to book your private first £20 session!

Rehoming

Sometimes people need to re-home their pet  but have a larger time scale to do it in or just aren't getting the applications of adopters through private means of re-homing. This doesn't necessarily make it any easier.to find a new home for a grown pet. We offer the service of advertising your pet here on our website and through our other social media, along with our experienced staff carrying out home checks, carrying out travel and sifting through applications.

For this all we ask is: 1) keep in regular, sometimes daily contact with us..

                                       2) allow BSR to use photographs of your pet.

                                       3) allow BSR to receive our adoption fee from the new owner.

                                       4) Understand that BSR carries out the hand over to the new owner

Please contact us to re-home your pet through our Re-home From Home scheme or get more information.

REHOME FROM HOME SCHEME

Keep your PET at home but rehome through us

Broken Souls Animal Rescue

As our founder is half Irish and half Scottish blood, Broken Souls Rescue does take in dogs from Scotland and Ireland.

These cases require travel expenses to be paid.

From Ireland, dogs must meet all requirements as set by law (vaccinations etc.) but can be collected from quarantine if fully paid up by surrendering owners.
